Yad Chana High SchoolEstablished in 1994, the Yad Chana High School for boys from the C.I.S is headed by Rabbi Chaim Baron. The academic headmaster is Mr. Michael Muravin. The school caters for pupils from 9th grade till 12th grade. Currently 120 students are enrolled in the school. 80% of the pupils' come to Israel alone, without there families on the Naleh program, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Education. In order to compensate the students, who are far away from home, the school is open during vacations and on holidays, continuously radiating an atmosphere of warmth and caring, creating more of a home then a dorm.Being a Yeshiva High School the morning is dedicated to high level Jewish Studies, delving deep into the wealth of thousand of years of traditional scholarship. The afternoons are utilized for general studies aimed at preparing students for Bagrut (the Israeli high school matriculation examinations). The curriculum is prepared according to the guidelines of Education Ministry and pupils are given the opportunity to graduate with the highest level in the following subjects: Mathematics, English, Physics, Computers, History and Talmud. The Yad Chana High School has a phenomenal track record. The graduation results are above the national average and three times better then the average for immigrants from the former Soviet Union. Most of the students continue their studies in advanced institutions of Judaic Studies. Many which also combine these studies with academic studies, such as Machon Lev (which combines Sciences and Judaic Studies) or in Hesder units (combining Torah study with service in the Israeli Defense Forces).
