Machshava School

The Machshava School for Communication and Arts is an elementary school with approximately 300 students from Migdal Ha’Emek and its environs in attendance. 95% of the students are new immigrants and first generation Israelis from the Former Soviet Union.  The Machshava Elementary School provides the students with a Jewish education together with active Zionism, a high level education and advanced courses including musical enrichment, drama, art, dance and other fields which are taught on a professional level by qualified teachers.

Music education at the Machshava School is the center piece of its uniqueness. Migdal Ohr believes that the musical experience builds self-esteem and develops a child’s personality and psychological well being.  The educator’s job is to expose the students to professional music as part of their overall curriculum and to relate to music as a language of communication and expression; helping them to achieve their full potential in the field of music.
